Backpacker Sluice + Anchor Pins

$24.95

NEW FOR 2023!

Unique System - forget hunting for flat rocks that slide off, block your vision or damage your sluice!

Ever go backpacking and wish you had a small sluice that can fit right into your backpack, so you can do a little "Gold Mining"?

Or, how about that "Special" Prospector / Hiker who could use a great gift?

Well, here is your chance to do just that without breaking the bank

Don't let it's compact size fool you - it will process way more material than by goldpanning alone and with a lot less effort and back pain!

Developed and made by Motherlode Prospecting Supplies, you will love this little wizard as it sucks any values right out of the gravel ( pre-screening 1/2" - 1/4" recommended ), and we have designed it with "Pin Anchors" that slide through the holes, into the creek bottom to keep your sluice from floating away, or having to hunt for the "just right" flat rock to put across the top to keep it on the bottom.

Features.....

  • 3.5" Wide Body 12" long and 6" wide at the flare.
  • Anchor Brackets to insert "Anchor Pins" ( Included), for securing sluice to creek bed rather than having to hunt for a flat rock to put on top, thus obstructing the view, getting knocked off resulting in losing your paydirt, or damaging the sluice
  • Strong, Durable and "Light Weight" PETG, with heavy duty sidewalls and great riffle design.
  • Lightweight and small enough to fit in most backpacks, but large enough to allow reasonable processing of material.
  • 3 Traditional & Proven Riffle Patterns built right in
  • Perfect companion to our "Backpacker Hand Dredges" ( simply empty hand dredge slowly and directly into the sluice flare as not to overload the riffles, right from the barrel).

  • When at the river, pin your sluice to the river bottom by inserting the anchors into the brackets and pushing it down as far as it can go ( preferably up to the bend )
  • Level by passing a small amount of material into the sluice and make sure it flows down the middle - you can adjust the lateral angle using the pins, or sliding a shim under the side. (Also the "V" formed by the flare should be located in the centre).
  • For best results, try and achieve a 1" - 1 1/2" angle downwards, and carry a small paint brush to brush the air pockets out of the riffles before adding material.

All prices are in Canadian Funds, and do not include applicable tax and/or shipping charges. All other currency quotes other than Canadian, are for reference only and are not necessarily what you will pay after exchange rate adjustments have been made by your financial provider.
