The intake and discharge valves are the very heart of your Hand Dredge, and are also subject to the most wear and tear, and unfortunately, they do wear out (just like your automobile tires).

We have made the unit so you (the user) can easily replace either the intake or discharge valve quickly in the field with a #8 Robertson Screwdriver and a a couple of water pump pliers, and a little silicone sealant. (check our instructions page)

It's highly recommended that you have at least one extra Intake and Discharge valve in the event of a failure so your downtime is limited only to a few minutes.
